- Abstract
- During this thesis, we made our attempt to introduce and elaborate on the different aspects of our subject. The most important variables of which include developmentalist elite and governments The experience of Malaysia, the effects of the elite class on growth and development of that country. One important question which was posed in Introduction was how can the elite play a role in modernization and development of a country and the Malaysia in particular? The main presumption of this thesis is to prove that there is a positive and causative relationship between the developmentalist elite and a practicable development, with regard to malysiyan experience and the role of some great leaders such as Tanko, Abdolrahman and abdolrazaq as the founders of the Malaysian unity and independence and especially mahatahir mohammad, the father and architect of the modern Malaysia. Among the features of these elite, the followings can be noted: A high degree of coherence, effectiveness, authority independence, the ability not to be corrupted and their loyalty toward national development and construction. Thus, as a re-emphasis, the role of elite in development is undeniable, the fact that is most visible in Malaysia as a country which has passed through a development level. It has been tried to demonstrate that the existence of the developmentalist elite would make the modernization process ake place with a faster, more comprehensive and more reasonable manner.
