- چکیده
- چکیده هوارد بارکر و هربرت مارکوزه هر دو بر این باور اند که در حرکت افراد اجتماع به سو‌ی آزادی، به عبارت دیگر استقلال فردی در تصمیم گیری،هنر دارای نقش بسزایی است. اما در باب چگونگی تاثیر گزاری هنر در عرصه اجتماع هر یک از آنها نظری متفاوت از دیگری دارد. بارکر و مارکوزه هردو راه حل‌های موجود برای حل بحران شخصیتی و اجتمایی را رد میکنند. بارکر خود را از در خط احزاب راستی یا چپی یا میانه رو بودن رها کرده و بر روی مفهوم سرسپردگی و سرکوب تمرکز می‌کند. از سو‌ی دیگر مارکوزه نه نظام سرمایه داری و نه نظام کمونیستی را چاره ی کار نمی‌بیند و یک نظام جدید با مناسبات جدید جاری درون آن را ارائه میدهد که هنر در آن نقش مهمی را ایفا می‌کند. در این پایان نامه تلاش میشود با مبنا قرار دادن یکی از نمایشنامه‌های بارکر، نمایه‌هایی از یک اجرا، تفاوت نظر ایشان برسی گردد و در انتها احتمال اجماع افکار آنان نیز از نظر گذرانده شود.
- Abstract
- Howard Barker and Herbert Marcuse both believe in the important role of art in preparing the consciousness of the people on the way to a better way of living, which means having the authority over one's own life. However, as to the howness of the preparation, they vary quite much. Both of them eschewed the available alternatives as the final solution to the social and personality crisis of the modern life; Barker separated himself from apologists of the Labor party or arch-enemies of the Conservatives or Tories, and started to focus on the very nature of submission or oppression. On the other hand, Marcuse, who saw not much difference in Capitalism or Communism, and considered both as totalitarian and exploitative systems, proposes construction of a new society based on new system of interaction between people. It is worth noting that aesthetic theory in the Social Theory of both of them has an indispensible part. In the present thesis, I have tried to create a dialogue between Barker and Marcuse through examining their theories within the ground of one of Barker's play, Scenes from an Execution, in order to explore the possibility of their reaching a consensus.
