    Abstract
    When an individual attempts to perform two tasks at the same time, the tasks often interfere with each other. This interference has been studied for several decades with the psychological refractory period paradigm, in which two targets that require independent responses are presented on each trial, separated by a variable delay period; interference typically takes the form of increased response times for the second target at short stimulus onset asynchrony (SOA). Because substantial individual differences exist in cognitive functioning, any complete theory of cognition must account for these differences; among the numerous relevant dimensions of individual differences are those relating to personality. Current research has investigated the effect of one of the most prominent human natures say personality, in addition to the effect of SOA, on the subject’s qEEG pattern at the time of having dual-task. In this work, personality features of 965 subjects are evaluated using Eysenck’s EPQ-R and 45 out of them are classified as one of the three extroversion, introversion and neuroticism groups. Ultimately, behavioral and neural responses of subjects of three afore said groups are recorded and analyzed under similar experimental conditions. Results of this study confirmed influence of SOA on interference between two tasks and it has been revealed that the short SOA possess larger amount of alpha frequency power than of long SOA. However, according to Eysenck’s PEN model prediction, effect of personality on the frequency power of alpha band exhibited differences between short SOA and long SOA in descriptive level, but main effect of personality dimension and it’s interaction effect with SOA was not significant in the present examination.
