The “Furniture Design" exhibition held at the UT College of Fine Arts, in association with the Polish Embassy
On 23 December 2024, the Gallery of the College of Fine Arts, University of Tehran, witnessed the opening of an exhibition of the Industrial Design Department. The title of the exhibition was "Designing multifunctional furniture for small spaces inspired by cultural elements." The exhibition included a group exhibition of industrial design students held with the support of the Polish Embassy in Iran.
The Ambassador of Poland had a meeting with Prof. Mazaherian, Dean of College of Fine Arts at the sideline of the Exhibition.
This exhibition was opened in the presence of Marcin Wilczek, the Ambassador of Poland and Prof. Aminzadeh, Vice President for International Affairs and other officials as well.
The event was opened by Prof. Khalili Director of the Industrial Design Department with her welcome message to the guests
Prof. Ajdari, the Advisor to the Dean of the College of Fine Arts on International Affairs explained the importance and history of the relationship between Iran and Poland in particular the rotating presidency of the European Union. Further, in his speech, the Polish ambassador, while praising the organizers of such an event, pointed out that the academic connection between Poland and Iran is very consistent and strong and goes beyond the need to create a bridge between the two countries.
After that, the Secretary of the Artificial Intelligence and Design Symposium discussed the importance of design thinking in the humanization of artificial intelligence. Next, the Director of the Design and Development Studio of Selected Industrial Group (SNOVA), discussed the importance of the connection between the industry and the university and announced the support of SNOVA Industrial Group to the College of Fine Arts.
In the end, all the participants in the exhibition of furniture design with a Polish design approach and artificial intelligence symposium were awarded a certificate of participation in the course, and finally, the Polish ambassador was given special appreciation.
One of the highlights of this exhibition was the encouragement and support of the Vice President for International Affairs, the University of Tehran in mutual negotiations, who believed in the potential capacity of the discourse of industrial design and schools of fine arts in international interactions and demanded to improve the levels of cooperation between College of Fine Arts and other countires.
