A delegation from Uzbekistan visited UT College of Science

On 23 October, 2024 , a delegations from two universities of Uzbekistan visited the College of Science, the University of Tehran. After meeting with the board of directors of the College of Science, these professors visited the Zoological Museum, the Central Laboratory and some facilities of the schools.

In this meeting, Dr. Majid Soleimani, Deputy Director of Research and Technology at the College of Science, while introducing the schools and their facilities, pointed out the existing capacities for expanding scientific cooperation and the need to increase educational and research exchanges between Iran and the countries of the region, including Uzbekistan.

Referring to the existing cooperation agreements between the scientific centers of the two countries, while emphasizing the necessity of making them operational, he presented certain proposals.

Then, Professor Omudjan Khalilov, from Arifov Institute of Ion-Plasma and Laser Technologies Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Professor Makodbek Yusupov, from Institute of Fundamental and Applied Research Nation Research University TiIAME Tashkent UZBEKISTAN introduced their universities and the facilities of these scientific centers and the existing capacities for cooperation. Moreover, there was a discussion between the parties regarding the ways of expanding scientific exchanges.

In this meeting Dr. Seyed Mehdi Waez Alaei and Dr. Farrokh Sarrashtari from School of Physics, and Dr. Alireza Shakeri, Deputy Dean for Education, and. Dr. Behnaz Bakshandeh, Deputy Dean for Students of  the College of  Science explained about their specialized fields, laboratory facilities, and how to facilitate and expand scientific cooperation.
