The 90th anniversary of the University of Tehran was celebrated on July 2nd, 2024 with the attendance of university presidents from various countries and ambassadors. The event was accompanied by dinner gathering held at the Negarestan Museum Garden, hosted by the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation.

During the meeting, Dr. Moghimi, the president of the University of Tehran welcomed the attendees and shared his insights on the university’s international collaborations. He also announced the establishment of new branches of the University of Tehran in Najaf and Georgia and highlighted that the scientific connections can transcend political differences, contributing to sustainable future.

In the following, Eng. Ebrahim Jamili, founder of the Jamili Foundation, which organizes the Young Scientists Festival, explained about the festival’s focus on supporting science-based projects and mentioned that as the festival is on its internationalization transformation, collaborating with the present universities of tonight’s gathering can help to take steps towards this process.

He also expressed his gratitude to the president of the University of Tehran for extending valuable scientific support to the Young Scientists festival.

The gathering also culminated in a ceremonial exchange as the president of the University of Tehran presented gifts and medals of the university to the guests and representatives from various countries, including Venezuela, Iraq, China, Nicaragua, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Bolivia, Malaysia, Russia, Georgia, Armenia, and number other nations.
