IBNA- President of the University of Tehran Mohammad Moghimi has pointed to the university’s willingness to expand scientific collaboration with Iraqi universities.

He said that the academic center is ready to cooperate with the University of Technology in Iraq in various scientific research fields and exchange of professors and students.

Moghimi said so in a meeting with the President of the Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University of Iraq Abdul Muhsin Naji Al-Muhaisen at the office of the president of the University of Tehran on Sunday, IRNA reported.

The Iranian academic also referred to the establishment of a new Persian language education center near the Iraqi border city of Basra in a bid to provide the Iraqi people with easy access to Persian language education.

The University of Tehran is prepared to dispatch Persian language teachers and instructors to Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University of Iraq with the aim of expanding Persian language education if the Iraqi academic center is keen on allocating space for the establishment of a Persian language teaching center, he added.

Naji Al-Muhaisen, for his part, expressed the desire to help develop scientific cooperation between the two universities and invited Moghimi to visit Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University of Iraq.
