Iran ranks fifth in the publication of articles in nanotechnology

According to the Office of Public Relations of the University of Tehran, Dr. Zahra Emam Jomeh, the President of the Aras International Campus of the University of Tehran, at the 3rd International Conference on Nanotechnology & Nanoscience, which was held at the College of Science of the University of Tehran, stated that Iran has  made great progress in the field of Nanotechnology . She further said: China, America, India, England and Iran are the first 5 countries in the world in terms of publishing articles in the field of nanotechnology.

Criticizing that some think that Iran only produces articles in the field of nanotechnology, she said: Iran is also active in the field of industry and has about 240 large companies that work on nanotechnology. About 100 companies are pharmaceutical companies and most of them are knowledge-based, and there are more than 500 nanotechnology products currently in the Iranian market, which includes the nanotechnology products of these companies from the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and health industries to the food industry.

Dr. Emam Jomeh said that the initiative of Aras International Campus to hold international conferences has increased the demand of international students to study in this campus and said: In the last one year, the number of people from Iraq volunteering to study at Aras International Campus has increased.

According to the Public Relations of University of Tehran  , about 330 Iranian scientists and 170 Iraqi, Syrian, Turkish and Afghan scientists participated in the 3rd International Conference on Nanotechnology & Nanoscience. In the scientific part of the conference, 10 papers were presented in person by authors in the field of nanotechnology, which were accompanied by questions from the audience.

In the end, the President of Aras International Campus of University of Tehran announced that next year's conference will be held in person one day in Tehran and one day in Jolfa.
