UT-TUMS International Day Festival Selected Figures

Prof. Yunus Shokrkhah and Prof. Mohammad Abdul Ahad were recognized as special winners.

The Fourth Joint UT-TUMS International Day Festival was held on Tuesday evening, Feb 28th, with the introduction of 90 selected figures of the two universities in the field of international activities, at the venue of Shahid Chamran Hall, College  of Engineering, University of Tehran.

According to the public relations report of the University of Tehran, Prof. Seyed Mohammad Marandi, the Vice President for International Affairs, University of Tehran expressed his hope that in the coming years, we will attract more international students from neighboring countries, especially Afghanistan, because we feel we are responsible towards out sisters and our brothers in that country.

Referring to the importance of internationalization of higher education in the world, Prof. Mohammad Hoseein Ayati, Vice President for International Affairs at  Tehran University of Medical Sciences stated, “  From a local and national perspective for our country, one of the best solutions to deal with sanctions is to internationalize higher education”.

Prof. Hossein Ghanati, President of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, by announcing that TUMS has 1,500 international students from 54 countries, pointed out the opening of the first international branch of Tehran University of Medical Sciences outside the borders of Iran and added: "We were able to set up a branch in Karbala, in competition with several prestigious international universities.

Prof. Younes Shokrkhah, a member of the Faculty of World Studies, and Prof. Mohammad Abdolahad, Associate Professor of College of Engineering  of University of Tehran, as the two special winners of the fourth joint festival of the International Day of UT-TUMS were acknowledged  and appreciated in   the presence of Dr. Seyed Mohammad Moghimi, President of University of Tehran and Prof. Hosein Ghanaati, President of Tehran University of Medical Science.

Dr. Navid Mostofi, Dr. Ataulah Taleizadeh, Dr. Mohsen Hamzeh, Dr. Mehdi Moghimi Zand, Dr. Hassan Khosravi, Dr. Farhang Fatehi, Dr. Salman Zare, Dr. Soroush Modbari, Dr. Najmeh Nissani Samani, Dr. Aydin Salamzadeh, Dr. Ali Javedzadeh, Dr. Ali Taheri Mirquaed and Dr. Alireza Ajdari as selected faculty members of the international activities field of University  of Tehran and Reza Shirmohammadi, Shadi Bashiri, Masoud Behdoyan, Aida Shomali, Marzieh Khani, Masoud Soleimani, Zahra Ziafti, Amirhossein Payandeh and Saman Kivannia as selected Iranian students of Tehran University of Medical Sciences  in The field of international activities was introduced.

Tahir Bani from Syria, Dunya Nemat Suleiman Marunsi from Iraq, Mahmoud Ali from Syria, Hassan Abbas Falih from Iraq, Mohammad Gholam Hakimi from Afghanistan, Madina Mohammadi from Afghanistan, Masoumeh Soraya Barbari from Afghanistan, Mohammad Saad from Lebanon and Bassem Shamhani from Iraq also received the title of selected international students of University of Tehran.

Daniel Sunday Ipoh from Nigeria, Aul Seido Abubakar Inousah from Nigeria, Qasim Aftab from Pakistan, Sara Ali Farhat from Lebanon, Muhammad Maitham Abdoun Elyasri from Iraq, Baida Mirza from India, Khadija Yusuf Ali from Nigeria, Khadija Mohammad Imam from Nigeria was introduced as the selected international students of Tehran University of Medical Sciences in the fourth joint festival of International Day of University of Tehran and Tehran Medical Sciences, and Maryam Anbari, Simin Zulfiqari, Shirin Hosseini, Kabri Rasouli, Mir Mohammad Reza Seyed Hosni, Ali Sayadi, Mohammad Vahdatfar, Zohra Al Boyeh, Mina Benhari, Toran Shahbazi, Azam Mohammad Bagheri, Mahnaz Vahidi and Dr. Faiqa Shah Hosseini were honored as selected international experts.
