Workshop of synesthetic design principles, Exhibition of Polish Design Summer School and Exhibition of Furniture Inspired by Iranian and Polish Cultures
As a part of a joint academic cooperation between the Department of Industrial Design of University of Tehran and Cultural Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Tehran, an exhibition of Furniture inspired by Iranian and Polish Cultures is being held. The objects and services are focused on the Covid era and selected from Polish Design Summer School as well as a workshop on Synesthetic design principles. This event is taking place with the contribution of Dr. Joanna Jurga a Polish scholar and artist in Tehran Gallery at College of Fine Arts of University of Tehran.
The exhibition was opened officially on June 19th, 2022 in the presence of officials from the Cultural Section of the Embassy of Poland and Office of International Relations of University of Tehran, faculty members and students of the Department of Industrial Design.
Within the framework of a cultural project between the Embassy of Poland and University of Tehran, Iranian students designed and produced furniture combining traditional elements drawn from cultures and arts of Poland and Iran.
As the result of Polish Design Summer School in Summer, 2021, the ten selected projects around design for mental health in the era of pandemic which received the grant of prototyping are exposed as well. The Iranian and Polish designers and academicians shared their individual approaches to the subject of these two projects. The idea of this exhibition and workshop is to show the richness of these two cultures in a new way. This exhibition will continue up to the June 30th, 2022.
