Webinar held at Institute of Comparative Law, Faculty of Law and Political Science

Eric De Brabandere, Chair of International Dispute Settlement Law and Director of Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies University of Leiden, Reza Eftekhar Legal Adviser, IUSCT tive Law, and Majid Ghamami, Associate Professor of Faculty of Law and Political Science-University of Tehran presented an online lecture on “The Applicable Law Regime of the Jurisdiction of Investment Treaty Tribunals" at the Institute of Comparative Law, Faculty of Law and Political Science.

The meeting was held on Thursday, April 14, 2022. In this two-hour meeting, first, Dr. Ghamami introduced two guests. Then, in about 45 minutes, Dr. De Brabandere analyzed the Concept and principles of Investment Treaty Arbitration, Overview and legal regime governing jurisdiction and Structural differences with international commercial arbitration. Then, in about 50 minutes, Dr. Eftekar addressed issues related to the interaction of domestic .and international law in the field of determining the law applicable to the Jurisdiction of Investment Treaty Tribunals.
