UT Ascends 34 Places in U.S.News Global Rankings / University of Tehran is Still the Leading National University
UT PR: According to 2022 U.S.News Best Global Universities Rankings, announced in 2021, University of Tehran ranks as the 1st national university, 58th in Asia, and 353th in the World.
According to UT Vice-Presidency for International Affairs, this ranking system includes around 1,750 top institutions from 90 countries.
U.S.News Global Rankings only evaluates those institutions with at least 1250 articles indexed in Web of Science during the last five years (from 2015 to 2019).
In the previous edition of these rankings, University of Tehran was ranked as the 1st national university, 58th in Asia, and 387th in the world. Indeed, U.S.News Best Global Universities Rankings evaluates these institutions based on 13 key indicators that measure their academic research performance.
