UT PR: In the joint session on Collaboration Expansion between the University of Tehran and the University of Bern, the two parties discussed plans for future academic collaborations and partnerships.

According to the UT Office of Vice President for International Affairs, the online session on Collaboration Expansion between the University of Tehran and the University of Bern was held on September 2. Martina Carolus, Head of Exchange Programs and Partnerships at the University of Bern, Dr. Ali Sonay, Faculty Member at the University of Bern’s Institute for Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies, Dr. Mahmoud Bijankhan, Director of Dehkhoda Lexicon Institute and International Center for Persian Studies, and Abdolmajid Eskandari, UT Director General for International Relations, were among the attendees of the session.

The two parties discussed plans for future academic collaborations, particularly in the form of student exchange programs and joint courses on Persian Language and Literature.  

In view of the great potential for academic collaboration between the two universities in other disciplines, it was decided that a memorandum of understanding between the University of Tehran and the University of Bern be drafted and signed for facilitation of academic cooperation between the two parties.
