UT PR: The presidents of the University of Tehran and Tehran University of Medical Sciences appointed Dr. Mohammad Abdolahad, Associate Professor of Nanoelectronics at the UT College of Engineering, as President of the Electronic Institute of Cancer Research.

Dr. Mahmoud Nili Ahamadabadi, President of the University of Tehran, and Dr. Abbasali Karimi, President of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, appointed Dr. Mohammad Abdolahad, Associate Professor of Nanoelectronics at the UT College of Engineering, as President of the Electronic Institute of Cancer Research for a term of three years.

It is worth noting that the generation of electric microbubbles for the destruction of cancer cells through chemotherapy, the innovation of a new approach to cancer diagnosis and metastasis evaluation, metastatic cancer diagnosis via electric nanobiosensors, the designing of a nanoelectronic chip called NELMEC for diagnosis of circulating tumor cells, which won the Mustafa Prize in 2019, and the development of ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species) Detector in Sputum Sample for fast COVID-19 diagnosis are among Dr. Abdolahad’s remarkable achievements.
