UT PR: Automatic Trout Fish Beheading and Gutting Machine was designed, developed, and evaluated based upon the findings reported in a PhD dissertation by Hossein Azarmdel, a PhD graduate from the joint program offered by UT Agriculture and Natural Resources Campus and the University of Valencia.

Dr. Azarmdel’s dissertation was supervised by Dr. Seyed Saeid Mohtasebi, Professor of Mechanical Engineering at UT Agriculture and Natural Resources Campus, and Dr. Alfredo Rosado, Professor at the University of Valencia. Dr. Ali Jafari and Dr. Hossein Behfar were the readers of this dissertation.

Based on the Erasmus agreement between the University of Tehran and the University of Valencia, the dissertation was signed by the two universities, and was awarded “passed with distinction”.

Dr. Azarmdel has been granted a PhD in biosystems engineering from the University of Tehran and a PhD in electronics engineering from the University of Valencia. The invention, entitled “Automatic Fish Beheading and Gutting Machine”, has been granted patent by the Intellectual Property Registry.
