The University of Tehran is always proud of its generous benefactors; ‘The active presence of benefactors signifies that this university has accomplished its mission

According to the report prepared by the UT College of Engineering, the opening ceremony of Amid Dormitory was held at Kooye-Daneshgah Dormitory Complex on Saturday morning, July 24.

The President of the University of Tehran, members of the Board of Directors, the Secretary and other members of the MSRT Benefactors Committee, a number of prominent benefactors, and professors were among the dignitaries who attended the opening ceremony. 

The dormitory can accommodate 172 students and is named after Ayatollah Abbasali Amid Zanjani, Professor of Islamic Jurisprudence and Law at the UT Faculty of Law and Political Science and the 28th President of the University of Tehran, in appreciation of his academic, research, and cultural services.

The construction of Amid Dormitory was completed in about 6 months, with a budget of 215 billion rials consisting of contributions made by Mosallanezhad Cultural Foundation through the UT Sponsors’ Foundation. 

Dr. Nili Ahmadabadi noted that the University of Tehran always takes pride in its generous benefactors, because they support and assist the university in enhancing knowledge and culture in society.

The foregoing indicates that benefactors recognize the significant role of academic institutions in society and concurrently signifies that professors, students, and even the staff members are dutifully discharging their social responsibilities, which is heartwarming for the esteemed benefactors of the University of Tehran in and of itself.
