UT Faculty Member Appointed to National Library and Archives of Iran Council

UT PR: Pursuant to a resolution of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Rasoul Jafarian, Professor of History and Islamic Studies at the UT Faculty of Literature and Humanities, was appointed to the National Library and Archives of Iran Council.

Pursuant to a resolution of the Council of Ministers and Dr. Eshagh Jahangiri’s proclamation of appointment, Dr. Rasoul Jafarian, Professor of History and Islamic Studies at the UT Faculty of Literature and Humanities and Director of the Central Library of the University of Tehran, was named to the National Library and Archives of Iran Council. 

Dr. Jafarian is a professor at the UT Faculty of Literature and Humanities and a researcher in Iranian History, who is also Director of the UT Central Library and the Library, Museum, and Documentation Center of the Islamic Consultative Assembly.

He founded the Special Library of the History of Islam and Iran and is currently in charge of its administration. Dr. Jafarian is also a long-serving member of the Academy of Sciences of Iran.
