UT Faculty Members Rewarded at 12th Farabi International Award

UT PR: At the closing ceremony of the 12th Farabi International Award for Excellence in Research in the Humanities and Islamic Studies, a number of UT faculty members were announced and rewarded.

At the closing ceremony of the 12th Farabi International Award, which was held in the presence of Iran’s Minister of Science, Research, and Technology and the Vice President for Science and Technology Affairs on July 18, a number of UT scholars, professors, and alumni were presented with awards. 

The late Dr. Ezzatollah Negahban, the late Dr. Davoud Feirahi, and the late Dr. Seyyedasaad Sheikholeslami, distinguished deceased UT professors, were named “Leading Scholars in the Humanities and Islamic Studies” and their cultural, academic, and research contributions were commemorated. 

In addition, Dr. Zhaleh Amouzgar and Dr. Seyyed Mohammad Razavi, UT faculty members, were named “Iran’s Top Senior Scholars in the Humanities”. Dr. Mohammadreza Rikhtegaran, Associate Professor of Philosophy at the UT Faculty of Literature and Humanities, was also named “Outstanding Theoretician”. 

A total of 37 Iranian and overseas awardees were announced at the closing ceremony of the 12th Farabi International Award, among whom 7 were international scholars from Germany, Italy, Belgium, Russia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Tajikistan.
