Iran’s Top Five Universities Sign Consortium Agreement
To prepare the ground for collaborative actions, sharing resources, and achieving synergy to attain academic objectives, on July 15 a consortium agreement was signed by Dr. Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi, President of UT, Dr. Abbasali Karimi, President of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Seyed Ahamad Motamedi, President of Amirkabir University of Technology, Dr. Mahmud Fotuhi, President of Sharif University of Technology, Dr. Jalil Koohpayehzadeh, President of Iran Iran University of Medical Sciences.
Emphasizing the significance of combining the five universities’ resources, Dr. Nili Ahmadabadi further remarked how universities can engage in constructive cooperation with the aim of addressing the needs of the country.
Dr. Nili also called for multifarious collaboration between different communities so as to develop unified organization strategies to solve the issues pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic.
He additionally stressed the significance of organizing models that can be provide the basis for developing interdisciplinary projects.
The presidents of the five universities were also acknowledged for their achievements in internationalizing higher education, and Dr. Abdolmajid Eskandari, UT Director General of the Office of International Relations, was awarded a certificate of appreciation for his contributions in this area.
