UT Faculty Member Appointed to IFLA Student Competition Working Group
According to the UT Office of Green Management, the IFLA Education and Academic Affairs Committee pursues its goal of advancing Landscape Architecture as an academic discipline by providing and raising academic standards by dint of facilitating international collaboration among IFLA members.
The Committee also contributes toward the development and promotion of Landscape Architecture academic programs, research studies, and scientific exchange among IFLA regions and the 77 member countries worldwide.
The Student Competition Working Group of the IFLA EAA Committee Working Groups is responsible for the promotion and advancement of Landscape Architecture through policy-making, regulations drafting, reviewer assignment, supervision of the review process, and the organization of awards competitions.
The competition is comprised of three categories and a modulating theme set each year. The three categories are as follows: Analysis & Planning, Design, and Research.
