UT PR: On June 26, 2021, a meeting between the members of a working group based in UT was held with Dr. Nili Ahmadabadi, President of University of Tehran, and Dr. Mohammad Hossein Sarrafzadeh, Vice President for International Affairs in attendance.

On June 26, 2021, a meeting between the members of a working group based in UT was held with Dr. Nili Ahmadabadi, President of University of Tehran, and Dr. Mohammad Hossein Sarrafzadeh, Vice President for International Affairs in attendance. Also present at the meeting were several UT representatives and faculty members.

The members of the working group exchanged views on strengthening academic ties with China. Reviewing the already-established collaboration between UT and Chinese academic universities, the members discussed strategies for increasing academic and scientific cooperation with China.

The central points decided upon at the meeting included: 

  • Developing a data base for cooperation between UT and Chinese universities 
  • Mapping out follow-up strategies for monitoring the progress of collaboration plans 
  • Organizing expert meetings to cultivate cooperation 
  • Devising plans to increase the number of students and faculty members within the framework of mobility programs 
  • Allocating research funds for joint research projects
