Smart Agriculture and Healthcare Startup Weekend Launched Online at UT Science and Technology Park
According to the UT Science and Technology Park, the event was held on June 21, with a view to paving the way for creativity and innovation among students and those interested in the subject of Smart Agriculture and Healthcare, introducing experts in Agriculture to marketing strategies and market-oriented technology, transferring the skills and experiences of marketing instructors in the field of Agriculture to aspiring entrepreneurs, and supporting hand-picked new business ideas so as to generate employment opportunities and sustainable wealth.
Dr. Abbas Zareie Hanzaki, President of the UT Science and Technology Park, Dr. Seyyed Hossein Goldansaz, Head of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Faridvand, CEO of the UT Research and Technology Fund, Ms. Fatemeh Sedaghatfard, Deputy Director of the UTSTP Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, Mr. Yashar Gholami, CEO of Smart X Accelerator, and Mr. Hadi Bagheri, CEO of Bonda Lab Accelerator, attended the event.
169 aspiring entrepreneurs applied to the Smart Agriculture and Healthcare Startup Weekend, among which a total number of 61 applicants were admitted at the preliminary stage. Following the multi-stage assessment of business ideas, 15 ideas were ultimately selected by the UTSTP decision task force.
