UT's Rapid Mucus ROS Measurement Machine for Diagnosis of Covid-19 Entered the Phase of Commercialization

Sponsored by Iran Nontechnology Innovation Council and under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad Abdulahad, researcher of UT School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the rapid mucus measurement machine for diagnosis of Covid-19 was designed and manufactured by Nano-Hesgarsazan-Salamat-Aria Co. and received certificate of production from Medical Equipment Department of Ministry of Health and Medical Education. 

According to UT School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the RDSS machine was designed and manufactured by Nano Biotechnology group of UT School of Electrical and Computer Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad Abdulahad.

This research project came to conclusion within four months through cooperation of Tehran and Shahid Beheshti Universities of Medical Sciences, Motamed Cancer Institute and the Scientific Committee of Ministry of Health and Medical Education.

The results of this research projects have been published in the credible international magazine "Biosensors and Bioelectronics" with significance factor of 5.10 IF.

Recently, the certificate for production of this machine has been issued by Medical Equipment Department of Ministry of Health and Medical Education and the news has been announced in the website of this department.

The prototype of this machine was tested in Imam Khomeini hospital, Loghman Hakim hospital, Imam Hussein hospital and Noor Afshar hospital and the results were positive.

It is worthy to mention that receiving the production certificate paves the way for its commercialization. According to inventors of this machine, this machine can also be used for pulmonary diseases such as asthma tuberculosis.
