University of Pretoria’s Professor Appointed as Adjunct Faculty Member at UT

UT PR: For the first time in the history of the relations between Iran and South Africa, a Christian professor affiliated with the University of Pretoria was given an adjunct appointment by the University of Tehran.

Prof. Maniraj Sukdaven, an eminent professor of religious studies at the University of Pretoria, was awarded the University of Tehran’s adjunct faculty certification. The appointment took place at the UP Faculty of Theology and Religion, with Dr. Morteza Agha Mohammadi, President of Al-Mustafa International University, Prof. Jerry Pillay, the Dean of the Faculty, and several faculty members in attendance.

The certification was presented by Mr. Ahmad Ali Mohsenzadeh, Iran’s Cultural Attaché in South Africa. He indicated the necessity of strengthening the scientific and cultural relations between Iran and South Africa.

Prof. Sukdaven and Prof. Pillay expressed gratitude to Mr. Mohsenzadeh and the University of Tehran, referring to this appointment as a significant step in developing academic and scientific exchanges between the two countries
