Ambassador of Brazil meets with UT Vice President for International Affairs
On 20 December, 2023, Prof. Elham Aminzadeh, Vice President for International Affairs, University of Tehran, in a meeting with "Eduardo Ricardo Gradilone Neto", Ambassador of Brazil in Tehran, agreed to the proposal of establishing a Persian language course at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
"Eduardo Ricardo Gradilone Neto", the ambassador of Brazil, while pointing to the good relations between Iran and Brazil in various fields, described the field of academic cooperation between the two countries as very favorable.
In this meeting, Prof. Arlen Elizabeth Clemesha, Professor of the Department of Oriental Literature at the University of Sao Paulo, explained that in the Department of Oriental Studies of that university, some oriental languages such as Arabic and Armenian are taught, and that this university is interested in adding Persian language teaching to the existing courses.
In this meeting, which was held in the presence of Dr. Mahmoudreza Delavar, Director General of International Students and Staff, Abdolmajid Eskandari, Director General, Office of International Relations, University of Tehran, other matters were discussed, including the possibility of student exchange, the provision of a professor of Persian literature, and the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities.
