Three Select Projects of UT College of Engineering Unveiled
According to the UT College of Engineering, ten select knowledge-based projects in the fields of Remote Sensing and Aerospace, Automotive, and Railway Engineering were unveiled at a launch event held at Tehran International Exhibition Centre on July 10. It bears noting that Iran’s Minister of Science, Research, and Technology was present at the event.
Three of the ten revealed projects belonged to the UT School of Surveying and Geospatial Engineering. Dr. Mahdi Hasanlou, Associate Professor of Surveying and Geospatial Engineering at the UT College of Engineering, conducted the three projects, which were named among the top ten projects at the event.
The titles of the three foregoing projects are as follows: “A Fast Online Software for the Measurement of Soil Salinity at Any Location in the Country via Satellite Imagery”, “A Fast Online Software for the Measurement of Area under Rice Cultivation Sorted by the Amount of Harvest in the Northern Areas via Satellite Imagery”, and “A Fast Online Software for the Measurement of Surface Changes for Multifarious Applications, Including Land Management, Forestry, and Military Affairs”.
