Chairman of the Board and Founder of Sias University, China sends a message of solidarity and support to UT President
The text of the message sent by Dr. Shawn Chen Chairman of the Board, Founder Sias University addressed to Prof. Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi, President of University of Tehran reads as follows:
March 23, 2020
Dr. Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi President
University of Tehran
Dear President Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi,
In light of worldwide outbreak of COVID-19, please allow me, on behalf of Sias University, to extend our solidarity, and support to you, your staff, students, and families who have been affected by the coronavirus outbreak.
The current epidemic has been controlled here under China’s decisive measures. We feel empathy with those who experience the outbreak of COVID-19 in other parts of the world. We also believe that with the joint efforts of the international community and full cooperation with the vast numbers of medical staff and scientific researchers in various countries, the spread of the epidemic will be effectively controlled. We are sure to win this global battle against COVID-19.
We are pleased that collaboration between our two universities is continually becoming stronger. The temporary difficulties will not affect the existing cooperative relationship between us but will make us more united. In spite of these difficulties, let’s strengthen our relationship through concerted efforts to create brilliant achievements.
This calls to mind two old Chinese sayings which state: "Challenges make a nation stronger” and “Difficulty and hardship make you great”. We cherish your friendship and long-term support for Sias University.
We would like to reassure you of our ongoing commitment to our mutual partnership and developing relationship. We look forward to meeting you again here at Sias! With my best wishes and concern,
Shawn Chen Chairman of the Board, Founder Sias University
