UT preventive measures on Coronaviruses
UT Health Center has issued online instructions on what is known about the epidemiology of COVID-19 and the transmission of other viral respiratory infections.
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses, some causing illness in people and others that circulate among animals, including camels, cats, and bats. These instructions have been developed to help prevent this virus from spreading among academic community in their homes and in other residential communities.
The instruction includes cases such as restriction of activities outside, lack of presence in public areas, avoid using public transportation, wearing a facemask, covering coughs and sneezes, cleaning hands with soap, regular cleaning all high-touch surfaces, monitoring symptoms, etc.
Also in order to avoid the risk of disease, UT has closed down the daily academic activities until further notice and the theoretical courses are offered virtually through media online.
