E-learning campus
The University of Tehran as the oldest university of the Country and the symbol of higher education in Iran has always strived to maintain its pre-eminent status and expand higher education in Iran. To reach this goal, the University used new educational technologies and established the e-learning Center in 2002. Initially, the Center was active in offering general and elective courses to the student population. From 2006, the Center has been reformed and expanded, and the necessary permits have been acquired from the Ministry of Higher Education, to accept students to online degree programs. After signing a contract with the faculties of Management and Entrepreneurship, for the first time the Center offered online degree programs in 2007. Currently, around 1,500 students are enrolled in the online degree programs in Management and Entrepreneurship at the BA and MA levels offered by the Center.
