Center of Excellence for Rural Studies and Planning
The core activity of the Center is to identify the characteristics of rural regions in Iran through performing research projects, and to use the obtained results to reach sustainable development in rural areas. Around 100 PhD and Master students have graduated in the past 5 years from the Center. At the same time, the Center has created over 100 scientific articles published in major Iranian and international journals. The institute also holds annual conferences and workshops on related issues.

The Center enjoys a collection of specialized books and journals; computer lab; tachymeter; camera and GPS; aerial photos and satellite images; technical softwares and information data-bank.
