Desert International Research Center
The Center started its research activities in 1975. Currently, one educational and four research departments are active. Twelve research divisions along with four research stations in the cities of Semnan, Kashan, Birjand and Kerman are among the Center's facilities. Focusing on various issues of arid regions including water resources, wind erosion, vegetation cover and medicinal plants are part of the research conducted at the Center.
