Engineering Optimization Research Group
Founded in 2001, Engineering Optimization Research Group (EORG) is under the College of Engineering of University of Tehran as a multidisciplinary research center. Its major goal is the timely transfer of validated optimization technology to the industry and to university researchers. EORG researchers carry out advanced studies in finding solutions to complex and large-scale optimization problems, with special focus on state-of-the-art implementation of modern algorithms. The research group is primarily interested in the solution of problems with practical relevance, and actively seeks collaboration with industrial partners. This research group encourages its researchers to work with other government research programs and private industries as well as those in academia. Academic and research collaboration with similar national and international research centers is part of its mission. Its research focus is on Theoretical and Applied Optimization, Optimal Design of Engineering Systems, and Optimal Management of Engineering Systems.
EORG hosts academic members and researchers from different branches of Civil engineering, Industrial engineering, Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering & Chemical engineering with 7 Full-time Research and Development staff. It holds international research collaboration with the University of Salford (UK).
