History
Physical Education at the University of Tehran was established in 1966 under the Department of Physical Education. This department was expanded to the “Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences” in 1988. Currently, it consists of 4 departments in Human Sciences Fundamentals of Physical Education (Movement Behavior), Biological Sciences Fundamentals of Physical Education (Sports Physiology), Sports Health and Medicine and Sports Management, offering programs at Bachelor, Master and PhD levels. Students of the Faculty work hard to pass not only theoretical and laboratory credits but also credits earned on the field.

The Faculty holds a major sport complex which includes 2 standard multipurpose gyms and 7 smaller halls, 2 natural grass fields, 2 artificial grass fields, 1 standard pool and 1 wrestling hall.
