Institute for Cultural Studies and Research
The Institute for Cultural Studies and Research was established in the summer of 1958 by Dr Gholam Hossein Sedighi (the father of sociology in Iran). Its activities include carrying out research projects in different fields of social sciences and offering Master's programs in Social Sciences. It has published numerous books related to the foundations of social sciences, history, social psychology, sociology of development, and ethnology.
The Institute's objectives include combining theoretical and practical themes, carrying out continuous research, providing educational and research facilities for faculty members, experts, and students, holding short-term courses, identifying and analyzing the problems of the Country, communicating with research centers inside and outside of Iran, and holding scientific and specialized seminars and conferences.
