History
The College of Aburaihan was originally established in 1952 at Pakdasht, a suburb of Tehran. Due to its focus on Agricultural programs it was renamed “the Agricultural Center” in 1983 as part of the University of Tehran. In 1988, the center was expanded to the College of “Abouraihan”. It currently offers programs in Horticultural Plant Production, Agronomy & Plant Breeding, Plant Protection, Animal Sciences, Irrigation Engineering and Agricultural Machinery at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
