International Center for Persian Studies
International Center for Persian Studies (ICPS) was established in 1989 by the late Professor Seyed-Ja’far Shahidi, the Director of Dehkhoda Institute. The Center is aimed at teaching the Persian language to non-Persian speakers and bringing together Iranian and non-Iranian professors of Persian language and literature to facilitate their research cooperation. In the past 2 decades, more than 8,000 students from around the world have learned the Persian language at the Center. Non-Iranian students of Persian Language and Literature, Iranian Studies, and Oriental Studies have attended higher level courses at the Center, not only learning the language but also learning about Iranian literature, history and the art of Persian calligraphy. Furthermore, with the help of Loghat Nameh Dehkhoda Institute they have completed their dissertations. The Center offers various courses for all levels (Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced) as follows:
